Darts flying for the Terre Haute Humane Society –

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – After the Terre Haute Humane Society suffered extensive damage to its building this week, organizations across the area are stepping up to help. But in this case, they were throwing darts.

Imperial Lanes hosted a dart tournament Friday evening. Ten dollars of every entry fee paid will help fund the shelter.

One of the coordinators for this event, Michael Ewing, said they come together like a family to help those in need.

“For the community, it’s what we do. We’re really close and if somebody in the community like the shelter needs help, we try to do what we can do,” Ewing said.

In case you missed the event, donations like food, toys and towels are still being accepted.

“Every little bit helps every single animal. We are very very in need of help,” Molly Yates said.

If you would like to make a donation to the shelter, you can do so at its website at
