Dutch star Michael van Gerwen and reigning champion Jonny Clayton will headline the field for the 2022 Jack’s World Series of Darts Finals, which takes place in Amsterdam next month.
The three-day invitational event, to be staged at AFAS Live in Amsterdam from September 16-18, will see 24 players competing for £300,000 in prize money.
Four-time champion Van Gerwen will be aiming to continue his charge on home soil, having returned to the winner’s circle with Cazoo Premier League and Betfred World Matchplay success over recent weeks.
Clayton will be bidding to defend the title he claimed 12 months ago, with two other former champions – Gerwyn Price and James Wade – also set to feature in Amsterdam.
Last year’s runner-up Dimitri Van den Bergh is among the invited PDC representatives, having secured back-to-back World Series titles at the Nordic Darts Masters and Dutch Darts Masters earlier this year.
Reigning World Champion Peter Wright continues his ever-present record in the showcase event, alongside US Darts Masters winner Michael Smith.
Nordic Darts Masters runner-up Gary Anderson, Women’s World Matchplay champion Fallon Sherrock and 2022 Masters champion Joe Cullen will be joined in Amsterdam by Australia’s World Cup of Darts winners Damon Heta and Simon Whitlock.
Elsewhere, Dutch Darts Masters runner-up Dirk van Duijvenbode has been rewarded with an invitation for September’s showpiece, with North American Championship winner Leonard Gates also included.
The World Series action continues this month, with the PalmerBet Queensland Darts Masters, PalmerBet New South Wales Darts Masters and TAB NZ Darts Masters taking place over the coming weeks.
Two more places will be confirmed following August’s treble-header Down Under, with an additional eight players set to come from the Tour Card Holder Qualifier in Barnsley on Saturday August 6.
