Ochberg Fellowship
Mike Walter
Mike Walter is a four-time Emmy Award winner and was a 2005 Dart Center Ochberg Fellow. He is currently on the board of The Dart Society. After completing the documentary, “Breaking News, Breaking Down,” he decided to launch his own production company. Walter previously anchored the Emmy Award-winning morning news at WUSA in Washington, D.C., was a senior correspondent at USA Today and has been an anchor and reporter in Tampa, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Columbus, Ohio. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland. He is a key contributor to two books on 9/11, “Covering Catastrophe” and “Broadcasting through Crisis.”
